When Ciena acquired Nortel’s networking division last year, the global technology leader wanted to extend their look & feel to the Canadian headquarters. The elements that Atmosphere has developed, fabricated and installed in twelve Ciena offices from New Delhi to Paris would ensure continuity in message and spirit.
These contiguous elements included the Entry Focal Wall branding components, Lobby Engagement Installation, Milestone Gallery, Employee Recognition sconce and graphics, Digital Experience screens, Boardroom Focal Wall and the in-depth fitting of the Demonstration Labs. Set in a hip lounge setting, the Demonstration Lab area is a showroom for Ciena’s hi-end hardware/software arrays, and include an audio visual introduction wall with back-lit, colored glass plates that step and repeat throughout the space. The Lab also featured an inviting hospitality bar, video theatre and theatre bar.
The result was the transformation of the Nortel facilities into a Ciena environment that spoke clearly of the brand and the technology. The project was installed over a weekend with the former Nortel employees being greeted by the new “colors” as they streamed in on Monday morning; excitedly craning their necks, pointing to various features and seemingly, quite satisfied.
