Keen's footwear and mission continues to gain momentum worldwide. The HybridLife message needed to be reinforced in the new environment through a green based solution that could allow for new innovations in their product line. The design utilized recycled, re-purposed, sustainable materials and production processes. The unique use of stretched Tyvek on recycled aluminum frames provided light weight and efficient structural elements, for example the fifty foot long by sixteen foot high central monolith and the wall systems for the presentation rooms. The presentation area walls included cable systems to allow for flexible merchandising on bee board shelves. Direct printing of large format graphics on the stretched Tyvek panels presents strong images, and the interior lighting of the Tyvek modules and print is remarkable. Other recycled components include corrugated tubes with translucent HDPE dividers. These elements form colonnades, becoming a recurring curvilinear structural element. The reception counter is produced from corrugated bee board with an engineered wood counter top. Even the rubber flooring is a recycled product.
Again, Atmosphere would like to thank Keen for promoting green values.
